Indian cinema celebrates Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday in its own way

In celebration of Amitabh Bachchan’s 80th birthday today, October 11th, Indian PVR Cinemas have decided to screen his 11 films.

Amitabh Bachchan was born on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, India, and the films are scheduled to be shown in a large number of Indian cinemas.
The Film Heritage Foundation, founded in 2014 by director Shivraj Singh Dungarpur, is also participating in this very unique tribute to Bachchan, and films such as Don, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony, Namak Halaal, Abhimaan, Deewar are also scheduled to be shown. , Mili, Satte Pe Satta and Chupke Chuck.

In conjunction with the screening of the films, the Film Heritage Foundation held an exhibition highlighting the important moments and aspects of the star’s career that were captured for future generations. The images were researched and curated by film historian and author S.M.M. Osaga, who has previously held exhibitions on Amitabh Bachchan’s 70th and 75th birthdays respectively.

The celebration of Bachchan’s birthday has been dubbed “Bachchan – Back to the Beginning”, and the 11 films are scheduled to be shown in 17 cities and 22 cinemas over four days across the country.
